Plan or shot?
The same day as a round. Mark every hole with a double bogey or worse, and every hole with a penalty. For each: was the plan right (club and target for your pattern)? Which of the five mistakes was it - three-putt, more than one chip, tee shot penalty, gamble from trouble, approach penalty? A plan mistake: write the plan for next time. A shot mistake: write which shot; it goes to the coach card, not the plan.
